Denver-based Bluprint announced in May that it would be shutting down, without providing a reason why.
“I think a lot of people are substituting their spend … in updating their home,” co-founder and CEO Lee Mayer said.
“I’ve wanted an online dating alternative like this personally, so there’s got to be a lot of other people out there who are looking for the same,” said Founder Erica Younkin.
The company, founded in 2013, has raised $212M to date.
MycoTechnology makes sweeteners and protein products from the common fungi.
“The name is a nod to the saying ‘Check your six,’ which is basically ‘We’ve got your back,’” said CEO and former Sphero COO Jim Booth.
