The church at 3400 Lawrence St. sold for $700,000, or $113 a square foot for the land.
The chain now has nine locations, including one next to the studio that just closed that offers cycling and HIIT classes.
“Three-bedroom condos in Denver is just unheard of,” said the agent listing the residential units.
The seller’s late husband operated restaurant Strings in the building along 17th Avenue for 25 years, up until his death in 2011.
“Due to their height and uniqueness, the silos have become a visually orienting feature within the Baker neighborhood,” city staff wrote in a report.
City official: “Our process depends on a number of planning decisions, but we would expect to start moving some personnel into the building in 2020.”
Burgers at Kuma’s Corner have names like the Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden.
Son Ian Burks on the name: “We ended up with Ohm because it’s an electrical term that’s easy to play off — something like, ‘Join the resistance against bad beer.’”
