The Future of Staffing: Rosenberg’s Bagels’ Joshua Pollack and Just BE Kitchen’s Jennifer Peters

Whether you call it the “Great Resignation” or not, hiring and retaining employees is a challenge for most businesses these days.

In BusinessDen’s “The Future of Staffing,” a four-part weekly video series, we talk with local business owners and executives about what they’re experiencing, how they’re addressing challenges and their outlook for the future.

This week on the series, which is presented by law firm Ireland Stapleton, we’re joined by Joshua Pollack and Jennifer Peters.

Pollack is head of Bridge & Tunnel Restaurant Group, whose most well-known concept is Rosenberg’s Bagels & Delicatessen, which has locations in Denver, Aurora and Boulder. Peters is the owner of Just BE Kitchen at 2364 15th St. in Denver.

During the course of the conversation, Pollack reveals that he nixed plans for a Rosenberg’s location in Golden this year because he wasn’t confident he’d be able to find staff.

Check out our previous conversations with Reelworks Denver’s Andrew Feinstein, Arapahoe Basin’s Al Henceroth and Colorado Nonprofit Development Center’s Melinda Higgs.
