The Uber Sausage is kaput.

The 8-year-old eatery quietly closed its East Colfax locale last month, according to a sign on the door.

“We are permanently closing our doors to pursue other passions,” the sign read, with no further information.

A sign posted on the door of the shuttered location.

The Uber Sausage brand began serving its sausage sandwiches from a food truck before opening its brick-and-mortar store at 2730 E. Colfax Ave. in 2011. A Loopnet posting for the site shows it’s about 500 square feet.

Owners Brad Arguello, Alex Gschwend and Henry Demattis also opened a RiNo outpost in 2013, but closed it in early 2017.

Gschwend told 5280 Magazine at the time that the brand’s Congress Park site was “going strong.”

The brand’s website and social media pages have been taken down, and its phone number has been disconnected.
