After 14 years in Boulder, Patagonia is venturing into new territory.
The outdoor juggernaut is vacating its space at 1212 Pearl St. for a larger spot four blocks away on the corner of 17th and Pearl Streets, according to store employees.
The new space at 1630 Pearl St. used to be the home of Starr’s Clothing, a new and used clothing store founded by a Polish immigrant in 1914. The clothing store closed in 2017 when it faced a 40 percent rent hike, according to the Daily Camera.
Patagonia’s public relations staff said the store plans to move in the fall to the new location. It’s the second time this year the company has secured new real estate along the Front Range; BusinessDen previously reported the company plans to move its Denver store from LoDo to RiNo.
In addition to Boulder and Denver, Patagonia also has brick-and-mortar stores at Colorado ski resorts, including Beaver Creek, Vail, Aspen and Telluride.
