One of the old guards of shared office space is about to open a fresh coworking concept downtown.

Spaces, a shared office spot from executive suites colossus Regus, is speeding toward debuting its first Denver location at the end of the month. The company has all but finished construction on its three-story, 35,000-square-foot shared office complex at 2301 Blake St., in the former home of Davis Partnership Architects.

Spaces offers about 140 small offices – though companies can combine spaces to make larger suites – as well as an open-desk coworking area, a café and larger meeting rooms.

John Carey, area vice president for Regus, estimated the office complex is about 25 percent leased. The first tenants are slated to start working out of Spaces on Feb. 27.
