The buzz has worn off of a boozy Colorado Boulevard ice cream parlor.

Twisted Cream has shuttered its ice cream shop at 835 Colorado Blvd. The short-lived shop had been dishing signature scoops like Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey ice cream and the Dirty Mint Chocolate Chip infused with peppermint Schnapps and creme de menthe since last spring.

A “for lease” sign now hangs out front of the 2,000-square-foot retail stall. No one was at the space on Thursday morning, but the store’s fixtures had been removed save for an ice cream serving counter.

A phone number on Twisted Cream’s website was out of service, and the company did not respond to an email seeking comment on Thursday afternoon. The store’s website does say a new location is coming soon.

Twisted Cream opened the ice cream parlor in May of last year. By that time the company was already selling ice cream in about 20 bars around Colorado. At the time its founders told BusinessDen the shop had a two-year lease on the space.
