The Denver area’s top 10 luxury home sales in 2024 all topped $8 million and included houses in Boulder and Cherry Hills Village.

According to data compiled by the Denver Metro Association of Realtors, 5,279 properties priced over $1 million sold in the 11-county Denver metro area for $8.5 billion last year. That’s 14 percent more properties worth 12 percent more than last year’s luxury home sales.
The most expensive house sold last year was 5 Cherry Hills Park Drive.
According to public records, Josh Kroenke, president of the Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche, purchased the 12,000-square-foot mansion on Aug. 27 for $15.8 million.
Kroenke is the son of billionaire Stan Kroenke, who owns the Denver teams, Kroenke Sports & Entertainment, the Los Angeles Rams football team, and more.
The Cherry Hills Village mansion, with five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and a 24-hour staffed guard gate, listed for nearly $17 million on July 30 and went under contract five days later.
According to REcolorado records, the transaction was the most expensive on-market sale in Cherry Hills Village. Former Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson holds the top spot for his $25 million purchase of nearby 10 Cherry Hills Park Drive in April 2022.
