Froyo CEO spends $10 million for Boulder home, tops October sales

The CEO of a frozen Greek yogurt dessert company based in Boulder spent $10 million on a home in that city last month, topping local October sales.

Yasso Inc. CEO Craig Shiesley and wife Marie bought the 5,700-square-foot home at 2260 Meadow Ave. in Boulder’s Carolyn Heights neighborhood from Michael and Betsy Billinghurst on Oct. 2.

The home has five bedrooms and five bathrooms. The sellers, operating under two trusts, purchased the then-new construction home in September 2016 for $1.8 million, records show.

Michael Billinghurst started Denver-based Solace Pediatric Home Healthcare in 2005 after working for 10 years as an occupational therapist.

Stephen Remmert with Compass-Boulder represented the sellers. Zachary Zeldner with Compass-Boulder representing the buyers.

According to MLS data from REcolorado, here are October’s next four most-expensive home sales in the Denver area:

1000 E. Stanford Ave.

Details: This 8,862-square-foot, six-bedroom, 10-bath mansion designed by Vision Design Build sits on a full acre. It listed on Sept. 21 for $8.5 million and closed on Oct. 18. 

The home features vaulted ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows that provide natural light. It has a limestone fireplace, white oak floors and custom oak cabinetry. The primary suite, two additional bedroom suites and an office space are in one wing for optimal privacy. 

The home also provides a separate one-bedroom guest suite with a living room, kitchen and bath perched above the four-car garage. 

The fully finished lower level includes a family room with a fireplace, a full bar, a screening room, two additional bedroom suites, a flex room and a state-of-the-art gym with an infrared sauna.

Mark and Heather Yeager purchased the new construction home from 1000 E Stanford Ave LLC.

Kelly and Dorothy Woods bought the home for $7.2 million on Oct. 31. Kelly Woods is the regional vice president at Elite Roofing Supply.

Details: Former Denver Broncos quarterback Jake Plummer owned the home at 6 Sunset Drive from 2004 to 2012. 

CHV Home Inc., a Florida company, purchased the home in November 2021 for $3.2 million and spent more than $2.5 million on an extensive renovation. The company listed the seven-bedroom, 11-bath house for $7.8 million in November 2022 before dropping the price to $7.5 million in February 2023.

CHV ultimately sold the mansion, which sits on nearly 3 acres across from Cherry Hills Country Club, to a trust formed for the benefit of Linda Pargh Mossman for $5.7 million in August 2023.

The Mossman trust listed the mansion, which has a three-car garage, a tennis court, a basketball court and a swimming pool, for $6.9 million on Sept. 26.

6 Sunrise Drive Holdings LP purchased the home on Oct. 15. State records name Chan Park, senior controller at Paradise Developments Inc., a Canadian homebuilder, as the person responsible for filing documents to establish the partnership.

Details: The 3,740-square-foot penthouse condo is in a gated, private enclave in Cherry Creek North. It provides a private elevator and interior rooftop space for a guest suite, home office or bonus room. The rooftop deck has mountain views and a fire pit.

This is the second sale of the three-bedroom, four-bath unit since August, records show.

Retired oil executives Anita Marie Powers and Joseph Robert Dedominic, who bought the condo for $1.95 million in October 2013, initially sold the unit on Aug. 2 to Marc P. Levine Trust for $5.88 million. 

On Oct. 22, records show, Levine turned around and sold it for $6.5 million to the Mossman trust, which had sold the home at 6 Sunset Drive a week earlier.
