Greenwood Village is shaking things up.
Shake Shack plans to open at 7979 E. Arapahoe Road, where the Macaroni Grill building used to stand before it was torn down months ago.
Development plans show the new Shake Shack will be 3,294 square feet and feature 44 parking spaces, indoor and outdoor seating and an “App-thru” lane for customers to drive through to pick up meals ordered through the restaurant’s app.
This will be Shake Shack’s sixth area location, counting one that opened within Denver International Airport last year. The company debuted locally in RiNo in March 2018, and has since added locations in Highlands Ranch, Cherry Creek, Edgewater and the airport.
The New York-based burger chain did not respond to a request for comment regarding the timeline for opening.
The 1.87-acre parcel the restaurant is being built on will also house a new Starbucks, according to site development plans.
