A 10,000-square-foot mansion in Cherry Hills Village with mountain views has hit the market.

The six-bedroom, 10-bathroom home at 4850 Whitehall Drive is listed for $5.8 million.

The home was custom-built in 2008, according to the listing, and purchased for $4.6 million the same year, records show. It’s surrounded by hundreds of trees to provide maximum privacy and has western views of the Front Range protected by a 75-foot view corridor easement on the property.

Stats: The two-story home has 10,000 square feet above the ground plus a 3,500-square-foot walk-out basement.

The finer things: Four of the six bedrooms have en suite baths and walk-in closets.

The home also has upper and lower decks complete with fireplaces, a five-car garage and a pool. The basement features a theater, full bar, wine cellar, recreation room, guest bedroom and a private study with mahogany built-ins, according to the listing.

Seller: Debra M. Payne Trust purchased the property for $4.6 million in October 2008, records show. Debra Payne’s husband Bruce Payne co-founded Laramie Energy II, a Denver-based company that finds and develops natural gas in the Rocky Mountains. He is now a special projects advisor, according to the company’s website.
