A corner lot at the edge of Five Points has sold, and an urgent care clinic is planned for the site.

Kerman Investments LLC paid $1.05 million last week for 3248 Champa St., according to public records.

The 0.22-acre lot has a single-story retail building on it, which has been vacant for years. A check-cashing store most recently operated at the site.

The purchasing entity is associated with Darius Kerman, owner and CEO of AFC Urgent Care, which operates five clinics in Denver.

Plans submitted to the city show Kerman wants to open a sixth AFC clinic at the site. Kerman did not respond to a request for comment.

The property was sold by 3248 Champa LLC, which paid $350,000 for it in January 2012, records show.
