Brakes Plus founder lists $5M Englewood estate

The founder of Denver-based Brakes Plus is peeling out of his Cherry Hills mansion.

Larry and Jean Ann Pisciotta listed their Englewood estate for $5 million. A Colorado native, Larry Pisciotta founded Brakes Plus in 1990 to install brakes and provide general car maintenance. The business has grown to 64 store locations in Wyoming, Texas, Nebraska, Iowa, Arizona and Colorado, according to its website.

Pisciotta’s three sons now run Brakes Plus operations, while Pisciotta serves as chairman.

Listed price: $4.97 million

Stats: Built in 1996, the 12,700-square-foot home has seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms. It sits on 2.3 acres a mile west of the I-25 and I-225 junction.

Listing broker: Gina Lorenzen with the Kentwood Co.

Seller: Larry Pisciotta, who purchased the property in 2002 from former Level 3 Communications CEO Jim Crowe for $4.5 million, according to property records.

The finer things: Elevated ceilings, marble floors and granite countertops. The home also includes a wine cellar, tasting room and theater.
