Peter Merrion joined Holliday Fenoglio Fowler as director for the firm’s Denver office. He’ll focus on office investment sales transactions alongside HFF Senior Managing Director Mark Katz. Merrion comes over from JLL, where he has been a vice president since 2013. He’s an Ohio Wesleyan University graduate, and holds a law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law.

Lee Wallis joins Transwestern as managing senior vice president for the Denver office. Wallis is a 30-year commercial real estate veteran who most recently served as vice president of operations – southwest for Hines.

CBRE hired Shanda Staggs as regional sales manager for Colorado. Staggs joins CBRE from Jeppesen, where she was a senior sales operations analyst. She’s a Colorado native with a bachelor’s degree from Metropolitan State University in Denver.

Construction

Alliance Construction Solutions promoted Brian Weinmaster to president and CEO. He previously held the title president. He’ll replace former CEO Bill Joyner, who is retiring at the end of the year. Weinmaster has been at Alliance for 23 years, working in several roles including project engineer, superintendent and chief estimator.

Robin Choate was promoted to client development manager with Alliance Construction Solutions. He’s been with the company for 14 years and most recently held the title marketing coordinator.

Dave Solonycze joined Alliance Construction Solutions as a Project Manager. He’ll manage the pre-construction phase of projects and negotiate subcontracts, purchase orders and buyouts. Solonycze has been in the construction business for more than 25 years.

Jessica Apjoke joined Alliance Construction Solutions as an accounting specialist. Her duties include accounts payable and receivable, accounts reconciliation, job costs and subcontract payments. Apjoke graduated from Colorado Technical University.

Nick Marion joined Alliance Construction Solutions as marketing coordinator. He’ll be responsible for helping find new work and coordinating the company’s advertising. Marion attended Colorado State University.

Tech

Apto brought on Steve Neely as vice president of engineering. Neely has been in tech for more than 15 years, and previously worked for Rally Software. He holds a degree in computer science from Glasgow University and a doctorate from Strathclyde University, both in Scotland.

Law

Julian Ellis and Kevin Homiak joined Wheeler Trigg O’Donnell as associates. Their practice focuses on commercial litigation at the trial and appellate levels.

Ellis previously worked as a law clerk for the chief judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. He attended the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.

Homiak was previously a litigation associate in the New York office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP. He earned his Juris Doctor from Georgetown University.
