Sometimes you go the extra mile – or an extra 700 or so miles – to get the deal done.

Denver brokers, developers and other retail real estate pros got together in Las Vegas last night for the annual Come As You Are Colorado Party hosted by Crosbie Real Estate Group and Land Title Guarantee Co.

The event, held at Las Vegas Strip restaurant El Segundo Sol, helped kick off the four-day-long RECon convention put on by the International Council of Shopping Centers. It’s a trade show and networking event hosted at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

This year’s event boasts some 36,000 attendees and around 1,000 exhibitors, according to ICSC’s website. Keynote speakers on the convention’s schedule include Magic Johnson, Restoration Hardware CEO Gary Friedman and Bobbi Brown, founder of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics.

Some 30 other Denver companies including banks, development firms, economic development groups and law firms pitched in to sponsor last night’s event. Proceeds from event sponsorship were donated to the American Cancer Society.
