The California-based company’s first area restaurants, in Cherry Creek and next to Union Station, opened in 2020.

The restaurateur now owns the real estate where Mizuna, Luca, Lou’s Food Bar and Vesper Lounge operate.
The restaurants will be the company’s first ground-up developments.
Bistro Vendome, which specializes in lighter French comfort food, will take over the former home of Tables, another long-lived restaurant that closed in August at 2267 Kearney St.
The building is home to restaurants Denver Biscuit Co., Atomic Cowboy, Fat Sully’s and Himalayan Spice, as well as an orthodontics office.
Sukiya Ramen, which has three locations in Denver, replaces Etc. Eatery, which closed in June after two years.
“I had to create the whole layout since … architects weren’t really clear on the vision,” said co-owner Jimmy Bemis.
“The space and the rooftop patio really inspired the brand,” said a VP of the company that owns The Deck, a taphouse that also serves brunch.
