The sale comes two months after the Denver City Council rejected an effort to save the octagonal part of the TV station’s building from the wrecking ball.

Orlando Franklin, a starter for Denver in the 2014 Super Bowl, bought the 8,440-square-foot home for $2.6 million in 2019 and renovated it.
It would be one of the first to be designated under Denver’s “cultural” criteria if the City Council agrees.
Construction on the 12-story apartment complex next to Empower Field at Mile High began in April 2020 and is set to be finished by March 2022.
Three Cherry Hills Village homes and one in Boulder made the list with sale prices between $5.8 million and $6.8 million.
“It really just feels like you’ve stepped into California,” the listing agent said. The current owners paid $2.5 million for it in 2016.
A Toronto-based investment firm bought the seven-story building at 1350 Speer Blvd. It opened in 2019 and is more than 90 percent occupied.
“There’s a lot of uncertainty with capital markets for hospitality because of COVID,” said Andrew Katz, who wants to put up a 12-story building with 95 units.
A developer had planned a 15-story multifamily building with 530 units on the former site of La Loma restaurant. The new owner also develops apartments.
Ian Cole was traded to the Minnesota Wild in January, so he put his 6,220-square-foot mansion at 2477 S. Cook St. on the market.
