Mediterranean bowls are landing on Broadway.
Cava plans to open a new 3,200-square-foot location at 550 Broadway in Denver’s Baker neighborhood, the company told BusinessDen. An opening date has not been set.
Public records show the build-out will cost $900,000. The space was formerly home to Pizzeria Locale, a build-your-own pizza spot backed by Chipotle. The eatery’s five Denver metro locations closed in July 2023.
Cava joins Chipotle and Starbucks in the retail complex along Sixth Avenue between Broadway and Lincoln Street. The property was purchased last year by Chicago-based Northpond Partners in a $12 million deal.
Cava has 11 Colorado locations, from Fort Collins to Castle Rock. It opened a downtown location of its Mediterranean restaurant on the 16th Street Mall at the end of 2022.
