UCHealth has purchased a pair of connected office buildings in Greenwood Village.
The healthcare system affiliated with the University of Colorado paid $19.4 million for the buildings at 6550 and 6560 Greenwood Plaza Blvd., known as One Greenwood Plaza and Two Greenwood Plaza.
The buildings, which are three and five stories, total 196,000 square feet, meaning the deal works out to $98 a square foot.
UCHealth spokeswoman Kelli Christensen said the buildings, which do have other tenants, will be used to consolidate administrative functions currently spread across the system’s various campuses.
“This consolidation will reduce expenses and allow for adequate parking, modern office amenities, energy efficiency and easy access to public transportation for our employees,” she said.
The deal is the first sale of the buildings since 2005. The seller, Franklin Street Properties, paid $44 million for the structures then, records show.
