Prolific bar operator Josh Schmitz, owner of Denver restaurant group Handsome Boys Hospitality, is behind Spirits Halloween and Naughty List.
“It feels like I’ve never worked a day at the store because it’s such passion and labor of love,” said the owner, a retired Jefferson County deputy sheriff.
It’s the third brick-and-mortar location for Tacos Selene, but the first owned by the misspelled restaurant’s namesake.
The outdoor apparel and gear company closed a nearby store at 250 Columbine St. in January.

“Anything an 80-year-old can do for fitness, a 25-year-old can do with a beer in their hand,” said Robert Thompson.
“There’s more foot traffic in Cherry Creek,” said Tai Beldock, who hopes to find a permanent location in the neighborhood.
