Project Snapshot: The Fitzgerald

Work is underway at 1840 Market St. (Photos by Thomas Gounley)

It’s hard to miss “LoDo’s best kept secret.”

That’s the phrase that appears on signage posted on the fences surrounding the construction site for The Fitzgerald, the 11-story apartment complex going up in the 1800 block of Market Street.

Work is underway on the block-long building’s seventh story.

The project is being developed by South Carolina-based Greystar Real Estate Partners, which paid $20.75 million for the 1.15-acre site in August 2018.

The site previously was a parking lot.

Here are some photos of the site taken late last week, as well as a rendering.

Specs: According to the latest set of approved development plans, the building is set to have 8,287 square feet of retail space and 282 apartments: 65 studios, 151 one bedrooms and 66 two bedrooms. There will be 302 parking spaces on two underground levels, as well as portions of the first and second floors.
