After a week in business, a new Texas-based taqueria is on a hot streak.

Lunch-goers at Torchy’s Tacos lined up out the door more than seven days after the Texas chain opened its first Denver location last week.

BusinessDen first reported on Torchy’s when the company began demolishing a former Arby’s at 11th and Broadway last summer. The shop is the first in what Torchy’s hopes will be 10 or 12 locations along the Front Range. The company has already leased two 4,000-square-foot properties in Fort Collins and Westminster.
