After falling a few strokes behind, Texas-based driving range operator TopGolf will be opening its first Colorado location this summer with a triple-decker driving range.

TopGolf is expected to open the facility this spring, but stormy weather delayed its original opening date.

“Our construction timelines are always in flux based on weather and operational needs, which is why we have a late summer opening,” said Casey Daniel, TopGolf Centennial’s operations manager.

The 65,000-square-foot facility, located at 10601 E. Easter Ave. in Centennial, will be the 20th TopGolf, Daniel said.

The facility’s primary attraction will be its 102 hitting bays. The bays face out the back of the building into a driving range and will be heated.

And TopGolf is adding an appeal for the tech fans: Golf balls are embedded with computer chips to track where they land. Visitors are graded on how far and accurately they can hit the ball, and scores are recorded on daily and weekly leaderboards.

“Sixty to 70 percent of the visitors who come in don’t even bring their own clubs,” Daniel said.

Daniel said the company is looking for other Colorado locations.

I have been to the Dallas location a few times! I have been waiting for this for a couple years now! It is worth the wait. 1st location is prime. I would say somewhere near the flatirons/boulder area would be a good choice. Great story! Thank you!
